So, it’s a wrap on A Place in the Sun LIVE, Manchester. It never fails to be a great show, largely down to the people from the north and north west who came in their thousands over the 3 days (28 February, 1 & 2 March).
There has definitely been a shift in the years post-Brexit in the proportion of people looking to relocate to Spain as opposed to buying a second home. Anecdotally, people are fed up with ‘their lot’ in the UK and happy to turn their back on the UK for good, and embrace the overseas lifestyle with Spain and the Costa Blanca still far and away the destination of choice.
We’ve also come to realise just how well informed people who come to these shows are. Especially in relation to the applications for non-lucrative visas. Sun Lawyers helped over 200 clients in 2024 to successfully get their visas, their ‘green light’ to a new life in Spain.
With the end on the Golden Visa, there is far more interest now in the Nomad Visa as an alternative. It offers flexibility for those not ready to retire to live in Spain. But the devil is in the detail and our team has the expertise to evaluate if a nomad application is likely to be successful. Contact relocation@sun-lawyers.com
